Carbon Footprint Verification of efood Signed by EUROCERT

The National Climate Law (Law 4936/2022) establishes the foundation of a structured framework to achieve both national and European climate goals, ensuring the country’s gradual transition to climate neutrality by 2050 in an environmentally sustainable, socially fair, and economically efficient manner. To support the achievement of these objectives, the National Climate Law defines the framework for identifying, measuring, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. These emissions are calculated in accordance with the “ISO 14064 – 1:2018” standard, categories 1 and 2.

By verifying its carbon footprint for the years 2022 and 2023 in line with the requirements of the National Climate Law, efood demonstrates its contribution to the global effort to protect the environment and minimize the impacts of climate change, through its commitment to the continuous reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

EUROCERT, as an accredited Verification Body in Greece by ESYD for the verification of greenhouse gas emission reports, actively contributes—through its experienced personnel—to the rational use of natural resources, the implementation of necessary energy-saving measures, and the preservation of the natural environment by businesses and organizations.
